If I were an animal, I’d be…

confused.

I’d be confused why people worry about things like what they wear, where they live and what others think of them.
How could they believe that they’re on their own and they have to fend for themselves?
How is it that they have forgotten that they are the crown of creation?

If I were an animal, I’d be…

concerned.

I’d be concerned about the state of our environment.
I’d wonder how it has happened that humans, who has been given the grand task of stewardship, has become abusive and exploitive.
I would concur that the humans probably know of another place we all can move to.

If I were an animal, I’d be…

grateful.

I’d look at people and wonder why they are always busy and in such a hurry.
I’d wondered what is so threatening to them that they always have to run so fast?
I’d be grateful that at least I know what I’m chased by.
How difficult it must be to run from an enemy whose name or face you don’t know.
